Readers will understand this: sometimes I avoid picking up the book I’m reading because I’m not going to have time to make much headway in it. It’s silly, I know, but it is what it is. Enter the short story! Some writers friends got together and created a short story anthology with clean and christian reads you can breeze through in twenty minutes or so. And it comes with its own soundtrack! That’s right, Sweet Dreams are Made of This is a collection of stories inspired by hits of the 1980s-the best decade for music, in my humble and aging opinion.

My story, “Manic Monday”—based on the iconic Bangles song—features Bailey, who will soon discover whether returning a lost wallet will cost her the promotion of her dreams or be the detour that sets her on a new course for a life she never imagined.

It’s the quick read you need when you’re waiting in the school pick up line or only have a few minutes to yourself before starting dinner. It’s an all new twist on my signature humor with characters you haven’t met yet. And guess what? If you fall in love with Bailey and Henry and crave more of their story, then you’re in for a treat. I’m working on a full-length rom-com based on “Manic Monday.”
