I write humorous contemporary Christian fiction and nonfiction articles about God refining chaos into connection. Humor writing was coping mechanism for me from an early age, growing up in an odd family with a pet ostrich. It took six years to get my four-year Biology degree from Texas Tech University. I used it briefly in crop genetics and as a high school biology teacher. Now when I’m not writing, I enjoy outdoorsish activities like sitting by the pool, feeding my pet turtles, and pulling weeds, not to be confused with outdoorsy activities like camping and hiking, which my husband and sons still manage to talk me into occasionally.
My husband Brent and I live in Texas and have four mostly grown children and a rule-following German Shepherd who thinks being off-leash at the dog park is total anarchy.
